Behind the Scenes of Riverlea Park’s Future Green Spaces

Riverlea Park, SA • November 2024

Our most recent project took us to Riverlea Park, one of South Australia’s largest new residential developments, to prepare stockpiled soil for use in future landscaping works along Riverlea Boulevard.

The goal was to rejuvenate approximately 8,000 tonnes of existing soil to support the successful establishment of turf and trees. Unlike our previous in-situ soil amelioration projects, this work was completed within large stockpiles, requiring precise application techniques and consistent blending.

Our team used a combination of ripping, spreading, and targeted spraying to improve soil structure, promote nutrient retention, and ensure the material was ready for future use in high-profile green spaces.

Managing dust was a key challenge on this site, especially given the scale of the works and proximity to active development areas. We implemented dust control measures and adjusted our methods based on daily conditions to minimise environmental impact.

Safety remained front of mind throughout, with our operators conducting thorough checks and working in coordination with other contractors on site to maintain a controlled and efficient work environment.

While feedback is still forthcoming, we’re confident the work will contribute to a thriving landscape that reflects the quality and vision of the Riverlea development.
