Slashing Season Wrap Up

South Australia • March 2024

From October 2023 to January 2024, our team worked tirelessly to slash approximately 170km of across South Australia, including Port Wakefield Road, Sturt Highway, and the South Eastern Freeway.

Increasing safety for road users, mitigating bushfire risk, and improving the aesthetics of these vital transport routes were among our primary goals. Utilizing a fleet of tractors, traffic controllers, and support vehicles, our dedicated team completed the work with precision and efficiency.

Safety was paramount throughout this project. Conducting daily safety briefings, thorough risk assessments, and completing comprehensive pre start checks ensured that our crew remained safe despite the inherent risks of working along busy highways. Our efforts significantly enhanced the safety of these roads for all users by reducing vegetation that could obstruct views or pose fire hazards.

Flexibility played a crucial role in overcoming the various challenges we encountered. Weather conditions were unpredictable, often affecting our planned schedules. Additionally, the increased holiday traffic required us to adjust our operations to minimize disruptions for road users. The high volumes of rubbish and hard waste presented further obstacles, necessitating quick thinking and adaptability to maintain our progress and meet deadlines without compromising on quality.

Despite these challenges, our team’s hard work and resilience paid off. Our client was highly satisfied with the outcome, recognizing our ability to deliver exceptional results under demanding conditions.

We are immensely proud of our team's dedication and remain committed to providing outstanding agricultural and civil contracting services. Contact us to learn how we can assist with your next project.
